A Beginner's Guide
Trading can feel confusing at first… but so was learning to ride a bike. You’ll wobble a little, then you’ll fly. 🚴♂️
Trading just means buying something at one price and selling it at another. That’s it. You’ve probably done it without realizing it.
👟
Got sneakers for $100 and sold them later for $200? That’s trading.
🛋️
Bought a couch cheap and sold it for more? Trading again.
The stock market is just the biggest marketplace in the world. Instead of sneakers or couches, you’re trading tiny pieces of companies.
If you put in $100 and it grows to $200, you doubled your money — that’s 100% profit. If it grows to $150, you made 50%. If it drops to $50, you lost half — that’s –50%.
Percentages are like rulers 📏 that measure how far your money stretched.
🍕 Stocks: Like buying the whole pizza. You own it. If the price of pizza goes up, your pizza is worth more.
🎟️ Options: Like buying a coupon for the pizza. The coupon says, “You can buy this pizza for $10.” If the pizza shop raises the price to $20, your coupon is valuable!
With stocks, you own the thing. With options, you own the choice.
Options are like special tickets for stocks. There are two main types:
That’s it. A call = “I believe it will rise.” A put = “I believe it will drop.” No scary math needed. 🧠
Two common ways people trade:
⚡ Day Trading
Buy and sell the same day. Quick moves, fast decisions.
⏳ Swing Trading
Hold for a few days or weeks. Slower pace, less screen time.
Trading is like learning to ride a bike. You’ll wobble, maybe fall once or twice. But if you keep practicing, you’ll find your balance — and then it feels easy. ✨
